iPhone 6 Concept from designed by m

Everyone is speculating about the new iPhone. Will it be smaller, bigger, faster, curved, transparent, plastic?  Well, we decided to get in on the action. Here’s what we would do if it we had to make it.

Introducing the iPhone 6m! (You didn’t think we’d name it anything else did you?) It’s not over the top, but it’s enough to make you trade in your iPhone 5. We changed the shape, adding sharper angles to the usually round corners giving it an edgy, futuristic look and feel.

The new model is all about touch. The 6m banishes buttons from the phone’s design, replacing them with touch sensors for volume, power and home. You want to turn up that new Jay-Z track? Well, no feeling around for buttons, just touch the bottom corner of the phone and the sound kicks out of the dual face speakers on the front and bottom of the phone. Four speakers, bigger sound!! Sick right!!

The front camera and the ear speaker are wrapped around each other in a double banded circle. Everything is smooth, sleek and SEXY.

No curved glass here, the iPhone 6m goes for slim over curves. Its body is only 5.5mm thick, 20% thinner than the iPhone 5. Personally, I don’t think I would want to put a curved phone to my ear, but you never know they might surprise me.

And while we were at it we threw in something for the photography buffs. The new 6m has an 18 mega pixel camera (yeah I said 18) that has a special low-light mode and panorama feature. It goes a step further with a ring flash- the same kind used in professional photography for awesome lighting effects. So your Instagram shots will be even more amazing!

So what do you think? Would you want it?

  • Interesting choice of shape.

In fact, before the iPhone was released, a octagonal shape was considered (see link below).

Clearly it was decided that any other shape would be illogical, not to mention ugly.

My own opinion of your design? Horrendous.

Your bumper product looks incredible, however- Stick to accessorising already beautiful products.
